Lamborghini Revuelto Flame Tune: What It Is, How It Works, and Why No One Else Is Doing It
If you search "Lamborghini Revuelto flame tune" right now, you'll find videos — plenty of them. Factory Performante exhaust clips, Novitec showcases, the occasional rogue YouTube Short of someone going wide open throttle through a tunnel. What you won't find is a tuning shop that actually offers it as a product. Until now.
What Is a Flame Tune on the Revuelto?
The Lamborghini Revuelto is powered by a 6.5L naturally aspirated V12 — the LP670 — paired with three electric motors in a hybrid system producing a combined 1,001 horsepower. It is, by any reasonable measure, already extreme. But extreme and theatrical are two different things.
A flame tune — also called an exhaust pop and crackle calibration — adjusts the ECU's ignition timing retard and fuel delivery during deceleration and lift-off events. The result: unburned fuel enters the exhaust and ignites at the tips, producing audible pops, crackles, and visible flames. On a car like the Revuelto, with its centrally-mounted V12 and side exit exhausts, the effect is dramatic.
This is not a gimmick. When calibrated correctly, a flame tune adds character to the driving experience without touching reliability or engine longevity. The key phrase is calibrated correctly — on a platform as complex as the Revuelto's hybrid V12, sloppy tuning can cause excessive exhaust heat, catalytic converter damage, or erratic ECU behavior. ECMTuner's calibration is purpose-built for the LP670 architecture.
Why the Revuelto Is Different From Other Platforms
Most flame tunes you see on the market are for turbocharged engines — BMW M, Mercedes-AMG, Audi RS. Turbo engines have a natural advantage: boost pressure creates additional fuel pressure that makes exhaust ignition easier to trigger and control. On a naturally aspirated engine, the calibration has to work harder to achieve the same effect cleanly.
The Revuelto adds another layer of complexity: the hybrid system. The three electric motors interact with the V12's power delivery in real time, and the ECU manages this balance constantly. A flame tune on this platform requires careful integration — ensuring that the deceleration fueling strategy doesn't conflict with the hybrid regen logic or trigger fault codes from the battery management system.
This is the work ECMTuner has done. Our calibration has been developed and validated specifically for the Revuelto platform — not adapted from a generic template.
ECU Unlock: The First Step
Like all modern Lamborghinis, the Revuelto ships from Sant'Agata with a factory ECU write-protection layer. This is a cryptographic lock that prevents any external calibration from being flashed. Before any tune — flame or performance — can be applied, this lock must be removed.
ECMTuner handles the ECU unlock in-house as part of both service packages. You do not need to source an unlock separately or find a separate vendor. The unlock is permanent, clean, and does not affect any other vehicle system.
Two Packages
ECMTuner offers the Revuelto flame tune in two configurations:
Flame Tune Only — $4,300
The complete exhaust crackle and flame calibration. Aggressive pops and flames on every deceleration and lift-off. ECU unlock included. Stock reliability and drivability fully maintained. The stock map is retained and the tune is reversible.
Flame Tune + Performance Upgrade — $5,500
Everything above, plus a full power calibration reworking fuel maps, ignition advance, and hybrid torque delivery. Gains on the LP670 V12 hybrid platform: +170 horsepower and +100 lb-ft of torque. Optimized hybrid torque fill for seamless delivery across the entire RPM range.
The Service Process
All Revuelto tuning is performed via bench flash. The ECU is removed from the vehicle and connected directly to our bench equipment for flashing — this eliminates any risk associated with OBD-port flashing on a complex hybrid system. Turnaround is typically 1–2 business days.
For clients outside the NYC metro area, ECU shipping is fully coordinated. The ECU is removed locally, shipped to ECMTuner, flashed, and returned. We provide guidance on removal for those who want to handle it themselves, or we can recommend trusted shops for ECU extraction in most major markets.
Why Now?
The Revuelto has been in production since 2023. The aftermarket is still catching up. Most tuning companies have not yet developed validated calibrations for the LP670 hybrid platform — it requires significant R&D investment and platform-specific knowledge that not every shop is willing to commit to.
ECMTuner committed. The result is a proven, street-ready calibration that no one else is offering as an accessible product. If you own a Revuelto and want flames, there is currently one place to get it done right.
